Bharat Ko Janiye – Quiz Contest 2018-19

The Government of India is organizing a Quiz Contest for Overseas Indian Youth as well as Foreign Nationals. The quiz is being conducted to motivate overseas Indian youth to enhance their knowledge about India. Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz is open for Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) as well as Foreign Nationals between the age of 15-35 years. Topics of the Quiz include – Indian Art, Indian Democracy, Economy, Geography, Personalities in Music and Dance, Science & Technology, Languages & Literature, Education, Tradition of Indian Crafts, Indian Cinema ad Renowned Personalities.

The entire quiz will be organized in 4 rounds. The first round is scheduled from 16-30 September 2018 (local time). The first round will be conducted by the High Commission of India, Kingston. The overseas contestants can appear the Quiz test from anywhere or any part of the world during this period. The second round will be conducted online by the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi. The third round (semi-final) and fourth round (final) will be held in New Delhi, India.

The top 10 finalists in each category (NRI, PIO, Foreign Nationals) in second round will be invited to participate in the third round (semi-final) and fourth round (final) in New Delhi. These top 10 finalists will also attend the workshop in New Delhi and participate in the Bharat Ko Janiye Yatra, a 15 day tour of India. The Top 3 winners in the Final Round (NRI,PIO & Foreign National category) will be honoured and awarded with medals at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention in January 2019 at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
