Shri Mayank Joshi
High Commissioner

Mayank Joshi assumed the office of High Commissioner of India to Jamaica on 25 June 2024.

He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2003 and has held diplomatic assignments in France, Myanmar, Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations in New York and Japan.

He has worked in various capacities in the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi on bilateral relations as Deputy Secretary for Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Myanmar from January 2012 to August 2014; Secretariat of Founding Conference on International Solar Alliance (ISA) from January 2018 to March 2018 and Disarmament and International Security Affairs (D&ISA) from March 2018 to September 2020.

His areas of interest include neighborhood diplomacy, international security and strategic affairs. He speaks Hindi, English and French.

Before joining the Indian Foreign Service, Mayank Joshi completed his Post Graduate Degree in Management and started his professional career as a client servicing executive in the advertising field.

Mayank Joshi is married to Isha Joshi. They have two children. His hobbies are camping and travel, chess, swimming, tennis and golf.
